The “Highway thru Hell” is the Coquihalla highway mountain pass that links the interior of British Columbia to the west coast of Canada, and Vancouver. During the harsh winter months, vast numbers of heavy goods traffic travels through ice storms, blizzards, avalanche, and everything a Canadian winter has to throw at it. The hard men that clean up the inevitable chaos, are the emergency services, towing and recovery, highway maintenance, avalanche control, and mountain rescue workers. Their triumphs and failures are documented on the hit Discovery Channel show, “Highway thru Hell” Whilst filming the show as a producer/director, I was able to grab a few of these images.
